My Top Vegetarian Friendly Restaurants in Granada, Spain

I fell in love with Granada.  It’s lovely weather and small town, laid back, hippie vibe was very enjoyable.  This was also the first town in Spain where I saw fruit being sold in a bar… YAY!!!!  After a week of eating tons of bread, I was ready for some amazing dishes with some actual veggies! Here are 3 places that I found to be very delish.  Although, I believe that they all sold meat dishes, their veggie options were quite good!

HICURI

They feature vegan/veg options on their menu.  They also offer a-la-carte or prix fixe.  I opted for prix fixe, which cost me 12.50 €.  My choices were- Crema de Verduras (Cream Vegetable Soup), Tofu Stroganoff con Verduras y Arroz Basmati (Tofu with Basmati and Stroganoff Sauce), and the Tarta de Chocolate (Chocolate Cake).  All super hearty and pretty tasty.  I wish I would have liked the Tofu Stroganoff more, but I preferred the Cous Cous Integral con Verduras (Cous Cous and Vegetables) that my friend ordered.

Thankfully they were handing flyers our on the street or I wouldn’t have found this amazing restaurant!  I love Indian food, and I have had so much of it, I’ve become a bit of a snob.  This was truly a delicious Indian restaurant and my belly was super happy by the end of the meal.  I had the Vegetable Curry with Rice and Naan Bread.  SO great!

This was actually my first meal after got to my host’s apartments my first night in Granada.  It was pretty late…maybe 10pm or 11pm and I didn’t have anything substantial to eat so Alex (my host), took me here.  This is super fun Irish pub that I wish I would have visited at another point in my trip.  I’m sure a beer would have been nice.  Anyway, she knew the guy working there and he fixed me up a Homemade Veggie burger with fries.  It was lovely that it was a mixture of beans and other veggies as opposed to a soy patty.  For this, I was truly thankful. NOT a veg place, but I did like their veg burger. Don’t know if they had anything else that was vegetarian.
